Rheumaset Capsule – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Rheumaset Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Shankar Pharmacy, Ernakulam, Kerala. It is used in the treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis and osteo arthritis. 

Uses

Rheumaset Capsule uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Rheumatoid and osteo arthritis. It helps to improve flexibility of joints and relieves pain and inflammation.
Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains
Bursitis,  
Bursitis trochanterica,
Shoulder dislocation pain

Effect on dosha

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and Kapha.

Dose and duration of use

Rheumaset Capsule Dose: 1 – 2 capsules, 2 – 3 times a day,  before or after food, as directed by physician.

How long to take? It can be taken for upto 1 – 2 month, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Kutaja – Connessi Bark – Holarrhena antidysenterica
Patha – Cyclea peltata
Vidanga – False black pepper – Embelia ribes
Katuki – Picrorhiza kurroa
Ativisha – Aconitum heterophyllum
Vacha – Acorus calamus
Haritaki – Chebulic Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia chebula
Amalaki – Indian gooseberry fruit – Emblica officinalis Gaertn.
Vibhitaki – Belliric Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia bellirica
Aconitum chasmanthum
Yashtimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra
Guggulu – Indian bedelium (gum resin) – Commiphora mukul
Kupilu – Strychnos nux vomica
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum
Vanga Bhasma – Tin Calx
Naga Bhasma  – Lead Calx
Loha Bhasma – Bhasma prepared from Iron
Manduoora Bhasma – Iron Oxide Calx
Rasasindhura – A compound of Purified Mercury and Sulphur
Raupya Bhasma – Bhasma of Silver

Side effects and shelf life

Side effect: 

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
It should be taken under strict medical supervision. Take this medicine only if your Ayurveda doctor has prescribed it to you.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container, away from direct sunlight.
Use this medicine only till the prescribed time and in the prescribed dose only.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation and in children.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Expiry date: 3 years from the date of manufacture.
