Rhumasyl Liniment is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Zandu Realty Limited. It is used in the treatment of  Arthritis.

Rhumasyl Liniment Ingredients

Mahamash taila – Ayurvedic oil – 2.5 ml – 18% – It is helpful to relieve pain of multiple joint, aches and pains pertaining to hands, legs, head, neck. It is used in lumbar and cervical spondylosis treatment.
Vishgarbha taila – Ayurvedic oil – 2.5 ml – 18% – It is usually used where stiffness is associated with musculo-skeletal or neuro-muscular diseases.
Narayana taila – Ayurvedic oil – 2.5 ml – 18% – It is useful to improve bone strength in osteoporosis and arthritis. It is useful in joint disorders like Osteo arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, lumbar and cervical spondylosis, gout.
Gandhapuro taila – Winter green oil – Gaultheria fragrantissima – 2.5 ml – 18% – It has anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic properties, which help alleviate the pain associated with joint ache and rheumatism.

Usage

Spread out liniment on the affected part and massage gently for a few minutes followed by hot fomentation.
Repeat as often as required.

Precaution:
Do not rub, Do not bandage. Do not apply on open wounds, mucous  membranes and inflamed or tender skin.

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
