Posex Forte Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Charak Pharma Pvt. Ltd. It is a natural haemo-styptic that arrests bleeding effectively and safely.
Indications of Posex Forte Capsule
Male functional infertility – oligo, asthno and teratospermia.
To decrease severity and duration of menorrhagia and metrorrhagia.
Management of post-partum bleeding.
To check bleeding associated with IUCD insertion and MTP procedures.
Management of dysfunctional uterine bleeding and premenopausal bleeding.
To prevent or check aggravation of bleeding from hemorrhoids during pregnancy.
In general medicine/surgery – post-operative prophylaxis in minor surgery.

Dosage
General – 2 capsules thrice a day or every 2nd hourly.
Pre-operatively – 2 capsules thrice a day commencing 2 days prior to operation/procedures and continuing for further 3 days after the operation/procedures, till bleeding stops.
Or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Chandrakala rasa – Ayurvedic medicine – 7.43 mg – It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of bleeding disorders, diabetes and its complications.
Daruharidra – Berberis aristata – 7.43 mg – It is used in menorraghia and leucorrhea (white discharge). It helps to relieve spasmodic pain of abdomen.
Garbhapala rasa – 7.43 mg – It is used in the Ayurvedic treatment of fever, bleeding during pregnancy. It is also used in puerperal care.
Kukkutanda twak – Egg shell Calx – 7.43 mg
Mocharasa – Bombax malabaricum – 7.43 mg – Relieves bleeding disorders.
Nagakeshra – Mesua ferrea – 7.43 mg – It is used in leucorrhoea and bleeding disorders.
Pravala pisti – Prepared from Coral – 7.43 mg
Sphatika – Potash alum – 7.43 mg – It is useful in abdominal pain, Pneumonia, low back ache, Dry cough, Chronic bronchial diseases, haematemesis, menorrhagia, leucoderma etc.
Raktabola – Commiphora myrrha – 7.43 mg – Cleanses uterus, female reproductive system and useful in bleeding disorders.
Shuddha Bhallataka – Marking nut – Semecarpus anacardium – 7.43 mg
Shankhjira – 7.43 mg
Guggulu – Commiphora mukul – 37.15 mg – It has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.
Zahar mohar pisti – 27.43 mg
Godanti bhasma – Prepared from Gypsum – 14.86 mg – It is cold in nature. So, it is preferred in the treatment of Pitta imbalance disorders.

Do’s, Don’ts
Do’s
Get medical attention immediately in case of any kind of bleeding.
Apply a gentle pressure, to immediately stop the oozing of blood.
Don’ts
Do not get agitated or panic stricken. Most cases of bleeding can be well
controlled by a doctor.
Avoid using unsterile material while stopping the bleeding.
Do not introduce any sticks, or any other objects to arrest bleeding.
Side effects of Posex Forte Capsule
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
