Poorna Chandirodhayam Tablet is a classical Siddha medicine in tablet form, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode – Tamil Nadu. It is used in the treatment of respiratory disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Poorna Chandirodhayam Tablet:

Each 500 mg tablet contains –
Karpooram – Karpoora – Camphor – Cinnamomum camphora – 2 % – Being kaphaghna in nature it provides relief from throat irritation and pain.
Takkolam – Takkola – Star anise – Illicium verum – 2 %
Lavangapattai – Twakpatra – Cinnamomum tamala – 2 % – It is an Ayurveda herb mentioned for the treatment of bad odor from mouth, black spots on the face, dental caries, swelling, cough and in complications of tuberculosis. 
Jadhikkai – Jatiphala – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 2 % – It is an aphrodisiac, digestive tonic, very useful even with external application in case of headache, useful in cough, cold, asthma and more. 
Jadhipaththiri – Jatipatra – Myristica fragrans – 2 %
Lavangam – Lavanga – Clove – Syzygium aromaticum – 4 % – Useful in the treatment of asthma, COPD, wheezing, breathing difficulty etc.
Sirunagapoo – Nagakesara – Mesua ferrea – 6 %
Milagu – Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – 8 %
Thippili – Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum – 10 % – It has anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, immuno-stimulant and anti-mycobacterial activities.
Chukku – Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – 12 % – It is useful in indigestion, asthma, chronic respiratory diseases, nausea and more. 
Sarkarai – Sharkara – Saccharum officinarum – 45 %
Poorana chandirodhaya chendooram – A sublimation product of gold, mercury & sulfur. – 5 % – Useful in the treatment of tuberculosis, broncho pneumonia, phlegmatic condition, bronchospasm, fever etc.
Vettrilai saaru – Thamboola patra swarasa – Betel leaf juice – q.s.

Indications

Indications of Poorna Chandirodhayam Tablet:

  • All kinds of respiratory disorders such as irumal [bronchitis]
  • Thoodarthummal [continuous sneezing]
  • Peenisam [sinusitis/rhinitis]
  • Ovvaamai peenisam [allergic rhinitis]
  • Iraippirumal.
  • Also it allays the severity of kshaya rogam [tuberculosis].

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Poorna Chandirodhayam Tablet:
2 tablets twice a day with betel leaves after food.
Or as directed by the physician.

Diet

Pathya:-
Avoid salt, tamarind, sour diet, alcohol, pagal [bitter gourd], agathi [sesban], non-veg foods & tobacco.
