Onan Sudar Thailam is a classical Siddha medicine in oil form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used for treating epilepsy.

Ingredients of Onan Sudar Thailam:
Purified vellai poondu – Lashuna – Garlic – Allium sativum – 83.46 %
Purified veeram – Mercuric chloride – 1.17 %
Purified rasakarpooram – Mercury chloride – 1.17 %
Purified lingam – Hingula – Red sulfide of mercury – 1.17 %
Purified thalakam – Shuddha Haratala – Arsenic trisulfide – 1.17 % – It is pungent, unctuous, astringent, and hot in nature. Balances Kapha and Pitta.
Purified manocilai – Shuddha Manashila – Arsenic disulfide – 1.17 %
Purified vellai padanam – Shuddha Gowripasana – Arsenic trioxide – 1.17 % Purified kandhagam – Shuddha Gandhaka – Elemental Sulfur – 1.17 % Purified paalthuththam – Shuddha Pittala – Zinc sulfate – 1.17 %
Purified thurusu – Shuddha Thuththa – Copper sulfate – 1.17 %
Purified navacharam – Shuddha Navasagara – Ammonium chloride – 1.17 % Purified padikaram – Shuddha Sphatika – Aluminium potassium sulfate – 1.17 % – It balances Vata and Pitta.
Purified nervalam – Jayapala – Croton tiglium – 1.17 %
Purified venkaram – Tankana – Sodium biborate – 2.50 % – It is pungent in taste, hot in nature. It is good for heart, useful in Vata imbalance diseases.
Onaan – Calotes versicolor/oriental garden lizard/changeable lizard – q.s. Veppeney – Nimba taila – Neem oil – Azadirachta indica – q.s.

Application on feet

Precaution if you apply this oil over feet:
If you apply this oil on feet, make sure to wash off thouroughly with water or wipe off with cloth. The oil can make you slippery while walking.
After applying, make sure there are no oil spills on the floor. This can make the floor slippery.

Direction for use

Direction for use of Onan Sudar Thailam:
5 – 10 drops with milk twice daily.
Or as directed by the physician.

• Should be taken under strict medical supervision.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
