Urtiplex Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Charak Pharma Pvt Ltd. It is used in the treatment of Allergic Rhinitis.
Urtiplex Capsule Ingredients
Each capsule contains in mg powders of
Daruharidra – Berberis aristata – 25 mg – Useful in swelling, itching with skin diseases and helps in wound healing.
Chandana – Sandal wood – Santalum album – 20 mg – It helps in fighting acne-causing bacteria, exfoliates the skin, soothes sunburn, removes suntan and also reduces signs of ageing such as dry skin and wrinkles.
Jatamamsi – Spikenard – Nardostachys jatamansi – 25 mg – It improve skin glow and complexion.
Sariva – Hemidesmus indicus – 20 mg
Shankha bhasma – Calx of Conch shell – 20 mg – It is coolant, improves skin color and complexion.
Ushir – Vetiveria zizanioides – 20 mg – It relieves burning sensation and useful in skin diseases.
Kapardika – Varatika – Cowries – 20 mg
Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – 10 mg
Mass extracts of Amalaki – Gooseberry – Phyllanthus emblica – 100 mg – It reduces pigmentation or dark spots on skin and restores a natural glow on face.
Katuki – Picrorhiza kurrooa – 100 mg
khair chaal – Acacia catechu – 100 mg – It is a very famous skin benefiting Ayurvedic herb.
Manjishta – Indian madder – Rubia cordifolia – 100 mg – It is a well known blood detoxifying herb.
Shirisha – Albizia lebbeck – 100 mg
Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – 50 mg – It is a well known immuno-modulatory herb.
Haridra – Turmeric – Curcuma longa – 50 mg – It has anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, immuno-modulatory and anti-bacterial activities.
Indications
Chornic urticaria,
Allergic dermatitis,
Pruritis,
Dermal reactions to foods/ drugs,
Allergic rhinitis, Hay fever, and Atopic eczema.
Dosage
Adults: 2 capsules 3 – 4 times a day.
Children: 1 capsule 3 – 4 times a day.
Or as directed by the physician.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
