Neeri Syrup: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Neeri Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Aimil Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It is a herbo-mineral diuretic used in the treatment of urinary tract disorders. It gives relief in benign prostatic enlargement.

Neeri contains herbal extracts that have been scientifically validated all over the world for their safety and effectiveness.

Dosage

2 – 3 tsp thrice a day, or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice. 

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Each 10 ml contains –
Shuddha shilajitu – Asphaltum – 200 mg – Used in the treatment of genito urinary tract diseases.
Shwetaparpati – Ayurvedic medicine – 150 mg
Moolikakshara – Radish – Raphanus sativus – 150 mg – Study showed excretion of urinary oxalate due to radish consumption.
Sheetalchini – Kankola – Piper cubeba – 100 mg
Saindhava lavana – Rock salt – 50 mg
Sarjikshara – Sodim bicarbonate – 50 mg
Extracts of – Punarnava – Boerhavia diffusa – 500 mg – It has anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties.
Trunapancha moola – 500 mg
Ikshumoola – Sugarcane – Saccharum officinarum – 500 mg
Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris – 450 mg – It has diuretic and lithotryptic activities.
Chadila – Shaileya – Stone flower – Parmelia perlata – 450 mg – Useful in kidney and bladder stones.
Varuna twak – Crataeva nurvala – 400 mg – It has diuretic and urolithic properties.
Kulattha – Horse gram – Dolichos biflorus – 400 mg – It has anti-urolithiatic property.
Pashanabheda – Bergenia ligulata – 100 mg – It cleanses urinary bladder and has diuretic, anti-urolithic and anti-microbial properties.
Palasha pushpa – Butea monosperma – 100 mg
Lajjalu moola – Root of sensitive plant – Mimosa pudica – 100 mg – It has anti-microbial activity.
Bringaraja – False daisy – Eclipta alba – 100 mg
Kakribeeja – Cucumber seed – Cucumis sativus – 100 mg – diuretic, improves urine flow.
Daruharidra – Berberis aristata – 50 mg Sugar base – q.s.

Side effects of Neeri Syrup

There are no known side effects with this medicine. However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision. Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight. Keep out of reach and sight of children.      Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy. This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
