Arthorem Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Amrita Drugs. It is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteo arthritis etc.
Ingredients
Ingredients of Arthorem Tablet:
Each 500 mg tablet contains-
- Shallaki [Boswelia serrata] – 75 mg
- Ashwagandha [Withania somnifera] – 60 mg – strengthens bones, ligaments, muscles and tendons.
- Shunti [Zingiber officinale] – 50 mg – Ginger – relieves swelling and inflammation
- Rasna [Pluchea lanceolata] – 50 mg – excellent pain reliever, anti inflammatory and analgesic herb.
- Guduchi [Tinospora cordifoli] – 50 mg
- Erandamoola [Ricinus communis] – 50 mg – castor root
- Gokshura [Tribulus terrestis] – 50 mg
- Shuddha kupilu [Strychnos nuxvomica] – 25 mg – Kupilu / Nux vomica is a famous but poisonous Ayurvedic herb. It has many health benefits but should only be used after purification. It is used in Ayurvedic treatments since the time of Sushruta.
- Mahayogaraja guggulu – 90 mg – Mahayograj Guggul is a very famous and versatile Ayurvedic medicine in tablet form. This tablet has Guggulu (commiphora mukul) as its base.I t is used in a number of diseases. It has potent rejuvenative action. It should always be taken under strict medical supervision.
Bhavana with extracts of –
- Guduchi [Tinospora cordifolia] – q.s.
- Devadaru [Cedrus deodara] – q.s.
Uses
Indication of Arthorem Tablet:
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Osteo arthritis
- Acute soft tissue trauma
- Chronic back ache
- All inflammatory conditions
- Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains
Bursitis, - Bursitis trochanterica,
- Shoulder dislocation pain
Dose, adjuvant, duration of use
Dosage & Adjuvant of Arthorem Tablet:
1 tablet 3 times a day with water or Rasnasaptaka kwatha, or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
It can be safely used for a period of 1-2 months time, with gradual decrease in dosage.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
