Em Gesta Tablets is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Megha Health Care Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai. It is used in treatment of indigestion, flatulence, etc 

Uses

Em Gesta Tablets uses: 
As per the claims of manufacturer, it is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of indigestion, flatulence, dyspepsia, and hyperacidity and in reflux oesophagitis.

Effect on dosha

Effect on Tridosha –
Balances Vata and Pitta at the level of stomach and intestines.

Dose and duration of use

Em Gesta Tablets tablet Dosage:
1-2 tablets twice daily or as directed by physician.

How long to take? 
It can be taken for upto 1 month, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Shankha Bhasma – Bhasma of Conch Shell – 50 mg
Chitrakmool – Chitraka – Lead Wort (root) – Plumbago zeylanica – 50 mg,
Nishotar – 50mg,
Shunthi – Ginger – Zingiber officinalis – 30 mg,
Ajmoda – Ajwain – 25 mg,
Jeeraka – Cumin – Cuminum cyminum – 25 mg,
Behda – Vibhitaki – Belliric Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia bellirica – 25 mg,
Amalaki – Indian gooseberry fruit – Emblica officinalis Gaertn. – 25 mg,
Haritaki – Chebulic Myrobalan fruit rind – Terminalia chebula – 25 mg,
Pippali – Long pepper fruit – Piper longum – 10 mg,
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – 10 mg,
Hingu – Asa foetida – 10 mg,
Tamal Patra – Cinnamomum tamala – 10 mg,
Nagarmotha – Musta – Nut grass (root) – Cyperus rotundus – 25 mg,
Vidanga – False black pepper – Embelia ribes – 25 mg.

Side effects and precaution

Side effect: 
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
In a very high dose, it may cause purgation.
Children, pregnant ladies and lactating mothers should take this medicine only under medical supervision.
keep out of reach and sight of children.
Store in a cool dry place.
