Diarotap Tablet – Benefits, Dosage, Ingredients, Side Effects

Diarotap Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Dindayal Industries Ltd, Gwalior.  It is used in the treatment of diarrhoea and dysentery.  

Uses and effect on dosha

Diarotap Tablet uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of Diarrhoea, dysentery, IBS, Ulcerative colitis.

Effect on Tridosha – Balances Vata and Pitta.

Dose and duration of use

Diarotap Tablet Dose: 1 – 2 four times a day  before or after food, as directed by physician.

How long to take? It can be taken for upto 1 month, based on doctor’s advice.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Kutaja – Connessi Bark – Holarrhena antidysenterica – extract – 40 mg
Rasa parpati – 40 mg – A traditional Ayurvedic medicine, prepared with Purified Mercury and Sulphur.
Bilva – Bael (root) – Aegle marmelos – 20 mg
Nagarmotha – Musta – Nut grass (root) – Cyperus rotundus – 20 mg
Indrayava – Connessi seed – Holarrhena antidysenterica – 20 mg
Amra – Mango – Mangifera indica (seed kernel) – 20 mg
Dhataki – Fire Flame Bush (flower) – Woodfordia fruticosa – 20 mg
Jatiphala – Nutmeg (fruit) – Myristica fragrans – 20 mg
Shankha Bhasma – Bhasma of Conch Shell – 20 mg
Ajamoda – Ajowan (fruit) – Trachyspermum roxburghianum – 10 mg
Pippali – Long pepper fruit – Piper longum – 10 mg
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – 10 mg

Side effects

Side effect: 

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
It should be taken under strict medical supervision. Take this medicine only if your Ayurveda doctor has prescribed it to you.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container, away from direct sunlight.
Use this medicine only till the prescribed time and in the prescribed dose only.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation and in children.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
