A Flu-O-Cil ForteTablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine, manufactured by Shree Dhootapapeshwar Limited, Mumbai, India. It is used in treatment of fever, headache etc.
Uses and effect on dosha
A Flu-O-Cil Forte Tablet uses: It is indicated in Ayurvedic treatment of fever, headache, cough, allergic rhinitis, running nose and viral infection, Symptoms of Flu like cough, Throat pain, Chronic fever, Typhoid, Fever due to seasonal variations.
It is a potent Antipyretic. A unique combination of Tribhuvankeerti Rasa, Sootashekhar Rasa & extract derived from Mahasudarshan Choorna, acting against Jwara (fever) and relieving Ama. The combination is also useful in various related disorders like Chikungunya etc. being Amapachak & Jwaraghna (antipyretic).
Doctors also prescribe this for the treatment of headache.
Effect on Tridosha – Balances Kapha.
Dose and duration of use
A Flu-O-Cil Forte Tablet Dose: 1 – 2 tablets 2-3 times a day with lukewarm water or as per the disease condition
How long to take? It can be taken for upto 1 month, based on doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
It should be taken under strict medical supervision. Take this medicine only if your Ayurveda doctor has prescribed it to you.
Store in a cool dry place, in an air tight container, away from direct sunlight.
Use this medicine only till the prescribed time and in the prescribed dose only.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation and in children.

It’s a good ayurvedic medicine that combat with common cold
Does this tablet cause reduction of breastmilk? If a lactating mother takes it 2 tablets for 3 times a day in case of fever.

Can A flu o cil be taken for any kind of fever?
I found it very effective when I took it few months back for throat pain related fever.
Can I keep it with me as a general anti fever medicine instead of paracetamol.
