Kutaj Ghan Vati is an Ayurvedic medicine, in tablet from. It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of diarrhoea, ulcerative colitis, fever etc.
Uses and effect on dosha
Kutaj Ghan Vati uses: It is used in treating fever with diarrhoea, dysentery, ulcerative colitis, malabsorption syndrome.
Effect on Tridosha: Balances Vata and Pitta
Dose and duration of use
Kutajghan Bati Dosage: (250 – 500 mg) – 1 – 2 tablets 1 – 2 times a day, before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
How long to use: It can be used upto 2 – 3 months, based on doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Kutajghan Vati Ingredients, How To make?
Kutaja – Connessi Bark – Holarrhena antidysenterica – 48 g
Water for decoction – 768 ml
Ativisha – Aconitum heterophyllum – 12 g
Kutaja is made into decoction, filtered. It is further heated. While it is solidifying, Ativisha herb is added and ground well. Tablets are prepared from this semi-solid mass.

Expiry date: 2 years from the date of manufacture.

There are no known side effects with this medicine, if taken in right dosage.

it will definitely help you. but it is not advised to take it after 3 months without the advice of doctor.

If kutaj beej is prescribed for inducing vomitting, then how it is helpful in relieving vomitting? why its called as Vamihara?
Only in very high doses, it acts as Vamanopaga – useful in Vomiting therapy. In small doses, it is useful to control it.
Kutaja ghanavati – 2 tablets twice a day is useful. But because of your mother’s age, you will need to consult an Ayurveda doctor directly.
Hi, Kutajarishta dose is – 15 ml, twice a day after food. If it is too difficult to take, then add 15 ml of water to it before taking.

Sir, I feel some swelling and mild pain in lower left side of my stomach. Also my stomach is not clear at one go. I have to go to loo two to three times a day. Sometimes there is cramping in full stomach. Pls suggest me some good ayurvedic medicine. Can Kutajghan vati be effective?
Sir..you are very wrong when you said it can be used for 2 3 months safely. If it is used for more than 15-20 days it seriously disrupt d the probiotic balance..I have experienced it many times..it should be used for 2-4 days only whenever required

I was told by a doctor that i have malabsorption, i was mulethi powder and got diarrhea so he asked me to take this Kutajghan vati, now since i took, i going loo for long more frequently like 8 times a day.

Hello dr,i have been diagnosed with H Pylori infaction,chronic pan atrophic gastritis,colitis,deudonitis.My dr treated me with antibiotics,probiotics,antispasmodic,mutivitamin,vitamin d and herbal laxatives,peg fibre powder..after the treatment Hpylori test is negative but still ii have very poor diagation,bloating,,too much of mucous,semi solid stool and constipation..last so many years taken all treatments homeopathic ,ayurvedic,allopathic..nothing working..can kutghan vati,arujun and bel powder will cure me.
