Gripe Water is an Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Dabur India Ltd. It is useful in the treatment of indigestion, acidity, abdominal colic pain, abdominal fullness etc.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Dabur Gripe Water:
Each 5 ml contains,
Sarjikshara – 50 mg – It is an Ayurvedic medicine, used in the treatment of abdominal colic pain, abdominal lump, flatulence, worm infestation, indigestion etc.
Shatahva – Dill seed – Anethum graveolens – 0.0015 ml – It improves taste and digestion strength. It is mainly used in digestive disorders.
Aqueous syrup base – Q.S.
Preservatives:
Sodium Methylparaben IP
Sodium Propylparaben

Uses

Uses of Dabur Gripe Water:
It is a digestive solution for healthy growth.
Its regular use help relieving digestive problem during teething process of the baby.
It is useful in guarding baby against common stomach problems like indigestion, acidity, abdominal pain etc.
It neutralizes excessive acidity in baby’s stomach, helps to breakdown trapped gases.

Dose

Dosage of Dabur Gripe Water:
1 to 6 months old: 2.5 ml – 5 ml,
6 months to 1 year old: 5 ml – 10 ml,
More than 1 year old: 10 ml – 15 ml,
2 to 4 times a day or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Side effects

Side effects of Dabur Gripe Water:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

With western medicines

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
