Kamdev Ghrita – Ingredients, Benefits, Dose, Side effects

Kamdev Ghrita is an Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Shri Ayurved Seva Sadan. It is used in the treatment of bleeding disorders, jaundice, gout, anemia, dysuria etc.

It improves sperm and semen.
It improves body strength and skin complexion.Useful in the treatment of male and female infertility.

Ingredients of Kamdev Ghrita
Ashwagandha – Withania somnifera– relieves stress, improves stamina.
Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris – It is used for body building, to relieve diseases of uro-genital system and as an aphrodisiac.
Country mallow – Bala – Sida cordifolia – It improves strength of bones, muscles and joints.
Giloy – Guduchi – Tinospora cordifolia – It is a famous Ayurvedic herb, used extensively in treatment for fever, diabetes, urinary tract disorders, anemia, jaundice, asthma, cardiac disorders etc.
Vidari kanda – Pueraria tuberosa – Nutritious, aphrodisiac
Shatavari – Asparagus racemosus – It is useful in promoting fertility.
Ginger – Shunti – Zingiber officinale – Aphrodisiac and digestive.
Punarnava – Boerhavia diffusa – It is an excellent diuretic, useful in cardiac disorders, anemia, liver disorders, piles etc.
Gambhari – Gmelina arborea – Astringent, absorbent, useful in treating diarrhea, bleeding disorders etc.
Lotus – Kamal – Nelumbo nucifera
Black gram – Masha –Vigna mungo – It is a best aphrodisiac and Vata dosha alleviating diet.
Ghee – Ghrita
Sugarcane juice – Ikshu Rasa – Saccharum officinarum – It balances Pitta dosha.
Meda – Polygonatum verticillatum
Mahameda -Polygonatum cirrhifolium– It is beneficial to treat diseases related to vitiated Pitta and Rakta.
Jeevaka – Crepidium acuminatum – It provide strength and vitality.
Rushabaka – Malaxis muscifera
Kakoli – Roscoea purpurea – It provide strength and beneficial to treat diseases related to vitiation of Vata and Pitta dosha, fever and debility of the body.
Ksheera kakoli – Lilium polyphyllum
Riddi – Habenaria intermedia – It pacify all the three vitiated doshas.
Vriddi – Habenaria edgeworthii
Kushta – Saussurea lappa – It is a famous Ayurvedic herb used in treating gout, skin diseases, respiratory disorders etc.
Padmaka – Prunus cerasoides – It is an Ayurvedic herb used for the treatment of skin diseases, increasing the complexion and used as uterine tonic.

Neel Kamal – Nymphaea nouchali – Absorbent, useful in diarrhea, bleeding disorders such as nasal bleeding, menorrhagia etc.
Nagkeshar – Mesua ferrea – It is used in treating fever, vomiting, urinary tract disorders, migraine etc.
Ananta mool – Hemidesmus indicus – It is widely used in the treatment of gastritis, anorexia, menorrhagia etc.

Indications of Kamdev Ghrita
Bleeding disorders
Chest injury
Anemia, jaundice, liver disorders
Advanced anemia or jaundice – Haleemaka
Hoarse voice
Burning sensation in cardiac region
Sexual disorders
Do not use this medicine without consulting your doctor.


Dosage of Kamdev Ghrita
Quarter to half teaspoon with sugar candy and milk, once or twice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Side effects, shelf life

Side effects of Kamdev Ghrita
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation period and in children.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

With western medicines

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
