Agnivardhak Vati – Ingredients, Benefits, Dose, Side effects

Agnivardhak Vati is an Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Shree Baidyanath Ayurved Bhawan Pvt. Ltd. It is used in the treatment of tastelessness, loss of appetite, abdominal fullness etc.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Agnivardhak Vati:
Black salt – Kala namak – It is useful in the treatment of bloating, abdominal colic, constipation etc.
Ammonium chloride – Navasadar
Black pepper – Maricha – Piper nigrum – Because of its cutting and drying effects, it increases digestion strength and balances Kapha and Vata dosha.
Arka – Calotropis procera flower’s internal parts – Carminative, improves taste and digestion strength.
Citric acid – Nimbu satva– It improves digestion strength.
Lemon juice – Nimbu swarasa – Citrus medica – It is useful in indigestion, abdominal colic pain, vomiting etc.

Indications

Indications of Agni Vardhak Vati 
Decreased appetite, loss of appetite
Anorexia
Abdominal fullness, bloating,abdominal colic pain
Indigestion, sour belching
Incomplete evacuation or constipation associated mucus in the stool
Diarrhea with mucus content

Dose

Dosage of Agni vardhak Vati 
125 mg twice or thrice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?

This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Side effects, shelf life

Side effects of Agnivardhak Vati
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation period and in children.

3 years from the manufacturing date.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

With western medicines

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
