Pittantak Ras – Ingredients, Benefits, Dose, Side effects

Pittantak Ras is an Ayurvedic medicine used in the treatment of gastritis, abdominal colic, anemia, piles, vomiting etc.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Pitantak Ras
Javitri – Myristica fragrans – It improves taste.
Nutmeg – Jaiphal – Myristica fragrans – It is useful in the treatment of indigestion, cough, cold, asthma etc.
Spikenard – Jatamansi – Nardostachys jatamansi – It balances Pitta dosha, relieves burning sensation and neuro-psychiatric diseases.
Talisapatra– Abies webbiana – It is aromatic, appetizer, expectorant and mildly expectorant.
White sandalwood – Shweta Chandana –Santalum album – It is a coolant, very useful in gastritis, burning sensation in hands and feet.
Swarna makshika bhasma – It is an Ayurvedic medicine, prepared from an ore of Copper and iron pyrite. It is used in the treatment of diabetes, piles, anorexia, insomnia etc.
Coral Calx – Pravala Bhasma – It is used in Ayurvedic treatment of cough, asthma, bleeding disorders etc.
Iron calx – Loha Bhasma – It is used in gastric complaints, bloating, diabetes, vomiting, abdominal colic, piles, fistula etc.
Mica Calx – Abhraka Bhasma – It is used in the treatment of digestive impairment, bleeding disorders, skin diseases, diabetes, anemia, urinary disorders etc.
Camphor – Karpura – Cinnamomum camphora
Silver Calx – Raupya Bhasma – It improves digestion power and relieves burning sensation.
Coriander decoction – Dhaniya Kwatha – Coriandrum sativum – It is useful in the treatment of indigestion, piles, worm infestation, burning sensation etc.

Gastritis –Amlapitta
Anemia – Pandu
Advanced anemia or jaundice –Haleemaka
Piles – Arsha
Vomiting – Vamana
Giddiness – Bhrama
Burning sensation in the hands and feet

Dose

Dosage of Pittantak Ras
1 tablet twice or thrice a day along with Chandan Ark.
Or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?

This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Side effects, shelf life

Side effects of Pitantak Rasa
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation period and in children.

5 years from the manufacturing date.

With Homeopathy and western medicine

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

With western medicines

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
