Lauh Rasayan – Benefits, Ingredients, Dose, Side effects

Lauh Rasayan is an Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Shree Baidyanath Ayurved Bhawan Private Limited. It is used in the treatment of asthma, cough, anemia, liver and spleen disorders etc. It is prepared in herbal jam form.

Ingredients of Lauh Rasayan
Purified Mercury – Shudda Parada
Purified Sulfur – Shudda Gandhaka
Iron Calx – Loha Bhasma – It is useful in gastric complaints, skin diseases, eye disorders, bloating, splenomegaly, helminthiasis, obesity, diabetes, vomiting, asthma, bronchitis etc.
Aloe vera juice – Kumari swarasa – Aloe barbadensis – It promotes prebiotics, is good for skin and also for intestines.
Wild Basil – Van Tulasi– Ocimum gratissimum – It has anti-oxidant, immuno-modulatory and anti-microbial effects.
Trikatu Kwath– It is an Ayurvedic medicine useful in the treatment of indigestion, anorexia, skin diseases, liver diseases etc.
Malabar nut juice – Vasa swarasa– Adhatoda vasica – It is used in treating asthma, bronchitis and excess mucous condition.
Giloy juice – Guduchi – Tinospora cordifolia – It is a well-known immuno-modulator herb used in the correction of auto-immunity.
Chitraka mool kwath – Plumbago zeylanica – It is one of the powerful digestive and carminative herbs of Ayurveda.
Triphala Kwath– It is an Ayurvedic medicine used in the treatment of eye disorders, liver diseases, testicular disorders, edema etc.
Nirgundi swarasa– Vitex negundo –It is a very good muscle relaxant, pain relieving, anti-anxiety, anti-asthma and so on, herb of Ayurveda.
Pomegranate juice – Dadima – Punica granatum
Kamalnath ras
Bhringaraja ras – Eclipta alba – It is an important Ayurveda herb, widely used in hair fall treatment, liver disorders, skin diseases etc.
Kurantak ras – Saireyak – Barleria prionitis – It is a plant mentioned in Ayurveda for the treatment of skin diseases, burning urination, fever, localized swelling and act like blood purifier.
Palasha ras– Butea monosperma – Useful in the treatment of malabsorption syndrome, piles, intestinal worms, abdominal disorders etc.
Kelekand ras
Vijayasara kwath– Pterocarpus marsupium –It is extensively used for the treatment of diabetes, obesity, diarrhea, vitiligo, eczema etc.
Neeli ras– Indigofera tinctoria – It is used for the treatment of fever, liver and spleen disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, gout etc.
Gorakmundi ras– Sphaeranthus indicus – It is used in the treatment of pain, localized swelling, indigestion, cough, skin diseases etc.
Babbula phal ras– Acacia nilotica – It is an Ayurvedic herb used in the treatment of skin diseases, dhat syndrome, bleeding disorders and to treat intestinal worms.
Gangeran kwath – Grewia tenax – It has blocking action, useful in bleeding disorders such as menorrhagia, ulcerative colitis etc.
Shatavari kwath– Asparagus racemosus
Gokshur kwath– Tribulus terrestris – It is used for body building, to relieve diseases of urogenital system and as an aphrodisiac.
Patalagarudi kwath – Cocculus hirsutus – It has anti-microbial and diuretic activities.

Dose

Dosage of Lauha Rasayan
125 to 375 mg twice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?

This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.

Side effects

Side effects of Lauh Rasayan
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation period and in children.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

With western medicines

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
