Patanjali Divya Peedantak Kwath Powder is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Patanjali Ayurved Limited. It is useful in joint pain, gout, sciatica and other similar problems.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Patanjali Divya Peedantak Kwath Powder:
Peeplamul – Long pepper root – Piper longum – It is hot, useful in asthma, indigestion, bloating, anorexia, cold, cough, low metabolism etc.
Nirgundi – Vitex negundo – It is a very good muscle relaxant, pain relieving, anti mosquito, anti anxiety, anti asthma and so on, herb of Ayurveda. 
Ashwagandha – Indian ginseng – Withania somnifera – Useful in neurological and neuro-muscular disorders like paralysis.
Rasna – Pluchea lanceolata – It has anti-inflammatory activity.
Nagarmotha – Mustha – Cyperus rotundus – Of all the herbs useful as absorbent, digestive and carminative, Musta is the best.
Arendmul – Castor root – Ricinus communis – Of all the substances capable of aphrodisiac and Vata balancing effects, castor root is the best.
Saunth – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – It has analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities.
Nagkesar – Mesua ferrea – It has anti-inflammatory activity.
Gaj peepal – Scindapsus officinalis – It is a plant mentioned in Ayurveda for the treatment of respiratory diseases, indigestion, fever, pain in the joints etc.
Yavani – Carom seed (Bishop’s weed) – Carum copticum

Dosage and Usage

Dosage and usage of Patanjali Divya Peedantak Kwath Powder:
Mix 5 – 10 g of kwath powder in around 400 ml water and boil it, till residue is 100 ml. Filter it. Take twice or thrice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

Side effects

Side effects of Patanjali Divya Peedantak Kwath Powder:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation period and in children.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

With western medicines

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
