Patanjali Karela Amla Juice: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Patanjali Karela Amla Juice is a proprietary Ayurvedic product manufactured by Patanjali Ayurved Limited. It is used in diabetes, intestinal worms, ulcer, anemia, jaundice, gout, urinary discharges and blood purification.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Patanjali Karela Amla Juice:

  • Karela Fruit – Bitter gourd – Momordica charantia L. – Useful for the treatment of diabetes, intestinal worms, skin disease, wounds and acts as blood purifier.
  • Amla Fruit – Gooseberry – Emblica officinalis Gaertn. – Useful in the treatment of skin diseases, diabetes and urinary tract diseases. It has anti-oxidant, analgesic and anti-diabetic activities.
  • Citric Acid (Anhydrous) – It improves digestion strength and taste.
  • Potassium Sorbate (Food Grade)
  • Sodium Benzoate (Food Grade)

Indications

Indications of Patanjali Karela Amla Juice:
Diabetes
Hyperlipidemia
Iron deficiency
Urinary infection
Leucorrhea
Constipation
Jaundice and fever

Dose

Dosage of Patanjali Karela Amla Juice:
Mix 10 – 20 ml of juice with water and consume twice before meal.
Or as directed by the physician.

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.

Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

With western medicines

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
