Patanjali Pachak Anardana Churana: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Patanjali Pachak Anardana Churana is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Patanjali Ayurved Limited. It is used in the treatment of loss of appetite, indigestion & flatulence.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Patanjali Pachak Anardana Churana:
Anar Dana – Dadima – Pomegranate – Punica granatum – It improves digestion power of stomach and relieves anorexia.
Samudra Lavan – Sea salt – Useful in relieving abdominal colic, indigestion, anorexia etc.
Kala Lavan – Black salt – Useful in abdominal tumors, bloating, abdominal colic, constipation etc. It clears throat and belching.
Sendha Lavan – Rock salt – It improves appetite, removes intestinal and abdominal gases, cramps, and soothes heartburn.
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum
Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum – It has all qualities of a typical spice like useful in indigestion, asthma, cough etc.
Saunf – Mishi – Fennel seed – Foeniculum vulgare – Useful in worm infestation, constipation, anorexia, indigestion and vomiting.
Dhanyaka – Coriander – Coriandrum sativum – It improves digestion strength and taste.
Jeeraka – Cumin – Cuminum cyminum
Dalchini – Cinnamon – Cinnamomum zeylanicum – It improves digestion strength, is useful in diabetes, high cholesterol, its oil is applied externally for premature ejaculation and insect bites.
Badi elaichi – Greater cardamom – Amomum subulatam – It is a herb mentioned in Ayurveda for the treatment of pain, to eradicate bad odor, increase the appetite, treat skin diseases, nausea.   
Chini – Sugar
Neembu Sat – Citric acid – It improves taste and digestion power.
Gulkand – It is used to treat gastric ulcer, burning sensation of the body and other pitta dosha predominant diseases.

Dosage of Patanjali Pachak Anardana Churana:
2 – 5 g twice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

Side effects

Side effects of Patanjali Pachak Anardana Churana:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

With western medicines

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
