Patanjali Pachak Hing Peda Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Patanjali Ayurved Limited. It is used in the treatment of indigestion, anorexia, flatulence etc.
Ingredients
Ingredients of Patanjali Pachak Hing Peda Tablet:
Hingu – Ferula foetida – Digestive, carminative, restores normal movement of Vata, useful in bloating, worm infestation, abdominal colic pain etc.
Dried mango powder – Amra – Mangifera indica – It improves taste.
Dadima – Pomegranate – Punica granatum – It improves digestion power.
Sharkara – Sugar
Rose petal in sugar – Shatapatri – Rosa damascena – Digestive stimulant, increases bile production.
Samudra lavana – Sea salt – It increases digestion strength and taste.
Jeeraka – Cumin seed – Cuminum cyminum – It is very good in treating digestive track disorders.
Dhanyaka – Coriander – Coriandrum sativum – Useful in the treatment of indigestion, anorexia, worm infestation, fever etc.
Saindhava lavana – Rock salt – It aids in digestion by stimulating digestive fire, balances natural production of HCl, and is prescribed for laxative and digestive disorders. It improves appetite, removes intestinal and abdominal gases, cramps, and soothes heartburn.
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – Because of its Chedana (cutting) and Shoshana) drying effects, it increases digestion strength and balances Kapha and Vata Dosha.
Sauvarchala lavana – Black salt – Useful in bloating, abdominal colic, constipation etc.
Citric acid – It is widely used for treating abdominal colic, digestive disorders etc.
Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum – It has all qualities of a typical spice like useful in indigestion, asthma, cough etc.
Twak – Cinnamon – Cinnamomum zeylanicum – Relieves ama – a product of indigestion and altered metabolism.
Brihat Ela – Large cardamom – Amomum subulatam – It is a herb mentioned in Ayurveda for the treatment of pain, to eradicate bad odor, increase the appetite, treat skin diseases, nausea.
Indications
Indications of Patanjali Pachak Hing Peda Tablet:
Ajeerna – indigestion,
Aruchi – anorexia,
flatulence.
Dose, duration of use
Dosage of Patanjali Pachak Hing Peda Tablet:
2 – 3 tablets twice in a day,
or as directed by the physician.
How long to take?
It can be taken for upto 4 – 5 months, based on doctor’s advice.
Side effects
Side effects of Patanjali Pachak Hing Peda Tablet:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
