Patanjali Pachak Hing Goli Tablet: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Patanjali Pachak Hing Goli is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine in tablet form, manufactured by Patanjali Ayurved Limited. It is useful in indigestion and abdominal distension.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Patanjali Pachak Hing Goli Tablet:
Pippali – Long Pepper – Piper longum – Useful in indigestion, relieves Ama, causes purgation.
Sharkara – Sugar
Citric Acid – It improves digestion power and taste.
Amalaki – Indian Gooseberry – Emblica officinalis – It balances Pitta dosha due to its sweetness and coldness.
Samudra Lavana – Sea Salt – Useful in relieving abdominal colic, indigestion etc.
Sauvarchala Lavana – Black Salt – Useful in abdominal tumors, bloating, abdominal colic, constipation etc.
Dried Mango Powder – Amra – Mangifera indica – Improves taste.
Hingu – Asafoetida – Ferula asafoetida – It restores normal movement of Vata, useful in bloating, indigestion, worm infestation, constipation, abdominal colic pain etc.
Jeeraka – Cumin Seed – Cuminum cyminum – It is very good in treating digestive track disorders.
Maricha – Black Pepper – Piper nigrum – It has scraping effect over the intestines, inducing cleansing effect.
Shunti – Dry Ginger – Zingiber officinale – It is unctuous, promotes digestion, aphrodisiac, hot in potency, balances Vata and Kapha, sweet in Vipaka, cardio- tonic and palatable.
Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – Useful in abdominal tumor, bloating, worm infestation, anorexia, constipation, vomiting etc.
Nousadar – Ammoium chloride

Indications of Patanjali Pachak Hing Goli Tablet:
Indigestion
Abdominal distension
Loss of appetite
Flatulence

Dose

Dosage of Patanjali Pachak Hing Goli Tablet:
2 – 4 Tablets twice – thrice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

Side effects

Side effects of Patanjali Pachak Hing Goli Tablet:
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?

Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

Can this medicine be continued while taking supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

With western medicines

Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic / modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take Allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then take the Ayurvedic medicine.
