Eladhi Choorana Tablets: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Eladhi Choorana Tablet is a classical Siddha choorana in tablet form, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode – Tamil Nadu. It is used in the treatment of pittaja disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Eladhi Choorana Tablet:

Each 500 mg tablet contains –
Elam – Ela – Cardamom – Elettaria cardamomum – 9.09 % – Relieves dysuria (painful micturition), urinary retention, acts as diuretic.
Kirambu – Lavanga – Clove – Syzygium aromaticum – 9.09 %
Adhimadhuram – Yastimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 9.09 % – Blood-purifier, and has anti-oxidant property.
Seeragam – Jeeraka – Cumin – Cuminum cyminum – 9.09 %
Nellivattral – Amalaki – Gooseberry – Emblica officinalis – 9.09 % – Useful in diabetes, urinary tract diseases, skin diseases etc.
Lavangapathiri – Twakpatra – Cinnamomum tamala – 9.09 %
Sirunagapoo – Nagakesara – Messua ferrea – 9.09 % – It is a very famous Ayurveda herb used in treating fever, vomiting, urinary tract disorders, migraine etc.
Karuveppilai – Kaidarya – Murraya koenigii – 9.09 %
Sandhanam – Chandana – Sandal wood – Santalum album – 9.09 % – It acts as diuretic, used in treating bladder inflammation, cystitis, urethritis, vaginitis. It detoxifies blood and useful in skin diseases.
Sadamanjil – Jatamamsi – Nardostachys jatamansi – 9.09 % – It is widely used to purify blood. Hence useful in skin diseases.
Sombu – Mishreya – Fennel seed – Foeniculum vulgare – 9.09 % – Useful in relieving pain arising from female reproductive system.
Karkandu – Sharkara – Saccharum officinarum – q.s.
Velam pisin – Babbula – Acacia arabica q.s. – It has anti-fungal and anti-microbial activity.

Indication of Eladhi Choorana Tablet:

  • Adhipiththam [biliousness]
  • Mooththira choodu [scalding of urine]
  • Mooththira erichchal [burning micturition]
  • Adhiushnam [excessive heat]
  • Yeppam [eructation]
  • Thole arippu/ saruma arippu [general itching of the skin]
  • Sarumaththil thonrum karuppu niram [blackening of skin]

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Eladhi Choorana Tablet:
2 – 4 tablets with milk after food 2 – 3 times a day.
Or as directed by the physician.
