Ingredients of Velvanga Parpam:
Velvanga menthagadu – Vanga – Elemental tin – 100 % – It is used in the treatment of vomiting, anorexia, non healing wounds, helminthiasis, premature ejaculation, noctural emission, cough, cold, bronchitis, asthma, emaciation, weight loss, and chronic bronchial diseases.
Processed in –
Poovarasampattai chooranam – Parisha – Thespesia populnea – q.s. – Its bark is astringent and is used in treating nasal bleeding, for vaginal douche etc.

Indication of Velvanga Parpam:
- Araiyappu katti
- Also given in initial stages of aaramba paarisavayu [paralysis]
- Keelvaadham [arthritis]
- Navamoolam [9 types of piles]
- Vellai [leucorrhoea]
- Kuttam/thole noigal [leprosy/skin diseases]
- Increases the sexual power & thickens the glandular secretion of the reproductive system.
Dose
Dosage & Adjuvants of Velvanga Parpam:
25 – 50 mg with ghee or buttermilk twice daily before food.
Or as directed by the physician.
Diet
Pathya:-
Avoid salt, tamarind, sour diet, alcohol, pagal [bitter gourd], agathi [sasban], non-veg foods & tobacco.
