Ingredients
Ingredients of Naga Parpam:
Naagam – Naaga – Elemental lead – 100 % – It is used in the treatment of diabetes, non healing wounds, piles, malabsorption syndrome, helminthiasis, diarrhea, jaundice, skin diseases, itches, visarpa, expectorating cough, asthma, whooping cough, bronchitis etc.
Processed in –
Naayuruvi uppu – Apamarga kshara – Achyranthes aspera – q.s. – It is used in treating cold, cough and other respiratory diseases. It is also used in making Ksharasutra – special threads used in the treatment of abscess and fistula.
Milagu thakkali saaru – Kakamachi swarasa – Solanum nigrum – q.s. – It is an Ayurvedic plant used for treating fever, opium poisoning, splenomegaly, diseases of the liver, rodent bites, vitiligo, nausea, diseases of the oral cavity and headache.

Indication of Naga Parpam:
- Moolam [piles]
- Povuththiram [fistula]
- Bedhi/kazhichchal [diarrhea]
- Grahani [sprue syndrome]
- Seedha bedhi [dysentery]
- Iraippirumal [bronchial asthma]
- Irumal [cough/bronchitis]
- Ealai [bronchiectasis] etc.
Dose
Dosage & Adjuvants of Naga Parpam:
- 25 – 100 mg with butter, ghee, Thetraan kottai legiyam or Karunai legiyam, after food twice daily.
Or as directed by the physician.
Diet
Pathya:-
Avoid salt, tamarind, sour diet, alcohol, pagal [bitter gourd], agathi [sasban], non-veg foods & tobacco.
