Nandhi Mezhugu Capsules: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Nandhi Mezhugu Capsules is a classical Siddha medicine in capsule form, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in the treatment of tridoshaja vikaras, poisonous bites & also skin diseases.

Ingredients of Nandhi Mezhugu Capsules:
Serankottai – Bhallataka – Semecarpus anacardium – 10.99 % – It is used extensively in fever, bloating, piles, skin diseases, etc.
Ettikottai – Kupilu – Strychnos nux-vomica – 3.46 %
Pasu nei – Go ghritha – Cows ghee – Bos indicus – 15.37 %
Padikaram – Sphatika – Potassium aluminium double sulphate – 12.30 % – It is useful in abdominal pain, Pneumonia, low back ache, Dry cough, Chronic bronchial diseases, haematemesis, menorrhagia, leucoderma,Visarpa, etc. Panai vellam – Taala – Borassus flabellifer – 24.59 % – It is an Ayurvedic herb used for the treatment of difficulty in micturition, general debility, diarrhea, psychiatric conditions, hepatomegaly and acidity. 
Thein – Madhu – Honey – Apis melllifera – 15.37 %
Kalnaar parpam – A prepared medicine – 0.59 %
Kalmadha parpam – A prepared medicine – 0.59 %
Nandukkal parpam – A prepared medicine – 0.59 %
Pachchai karpooram – Karpoora – Camphor – Cinnamomum camphora – 0.59 % – It is a rare herb which, being coolant, balances Kapha Dosha and reduces fat and cholesterol levels. 
Gorochan – Gorochana – Cow bezoar – 0.59 % – It is widely used in psychiatric disorders, seizures, fever, improves skin complexion, as antidote to poison etc.
Kumkumapoo – Kesara – Saffron – Crocus sativus – 0.59 % – It is an Ayurvedic herb used for the treatment of acne, black head, diarrhea, skin diseases, impotency and acts as immunity enhancer and memory booster.

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Nandhi Mezhugu Capsules:
1 to 2 capsules with milk or palm jaggery once or twice daily depending on the ailment, should be taken for 12 – 45 days.
Or as directed by the physician.

Diet

Pathya:-
Avoid salt, tamarind, sour diet, alcohol, pagal [bitter gourd], agathi [sasban], non-veg foods & tobacco.

  • Should be taken under strict medical supervision.
