Kungiliya Parpam: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Kungiliya Parpam is a classical Siddha medicine in bhasma form, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used to treat diseases of urogenital tract.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Kungiliya Parpam:
Venkungiliyam – Shaala – Shorea robusta – 100 % – It is mainly used in treating non healing wounds, diabetes, boils, deafness etc. It has wound healing activity.
Processed in –
Ilaneer – Narikela jala – Coconut water – Cocos nucifera – q.s. – Useful in the treatment of hyper-acidity, burning micturition, retention of urine, burning sensation of body during measles and herpes, diarrhea etc.

Indication of Kungiliya Parpam:

  • Vellai [leucorrhoea]
  • Neerkattu [stranguary]
  • Neererivu [painful micturition]
  • Vettai [gonorrhoea]
  • Mooththira naala azharchi [inflammation of the urogenital tract]
  • Seedha bedhi [dysentry]
  • Pramegam [sexually transmitted diseases].

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Kungiliya Parpam:

  • 200 – 500 mg with ghee, butter, tender coconut water or with any plant juice or infusion which possess cooling effect.
    Or as directed by the physician.

Side effects and package

Side effects of Kungiliya Parpam:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • Should be taken under medical supervision.
