Anda Odu Parpam: Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Anda Odu Parpam is a classical Siddha medicine in bhasma form, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu.  It is mainly used in the treatment of male infertility.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Anda Odu Parpam:
Purified anda odu – Kukkutanda twak – Galleus domesticus/ chicken egg shells – 100 % – It is useful to improve bone density, since it is a good source of calcium. Hence used in arthritis, osteoporosis etc. It is used to treat leucorrhea (vaginal white discharge) in women.
Palacharu – Nimbuka swarasa – Lemon juice – Citrus aurantifolia – q.s.

Indication

Indication of Anda Odu Parpam:

  • Vindhu kuraivu [oligospermia]
  • Vindhu velipadu [nocturnal emission]
  • Olukku megam [gonorrheal discharge]
  • Vellai olukku megam [leucorrhoea]
  • Meganeer olukku
  • Vellai neer olukku
  • Karuppu megam [urethral discharge due to infections].

Dose

Dosage & Adujuvants of Anda Odu Parpam:
100 mg with butter or ghee or milk or honey after food twice daily,
or as directed by the physician.

Side effects of Anda Odu Parpam:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • Should be taken under medical supervision.
