Venpoosani Legiyam is a classical Siddha medicine in paste/jam form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd, Erode – Tamil nadu. It is an aphrodisiac & pittahara.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Venpoosani Legiyam:
Sarkarai – Sita – Sugar candy – Saccharum officinarum – 13.50 %
Seeragam – Jeeraka – Cumin – Cuminum cyminum – 1.35 %
Dhaniya/koththamalli – Dhanyaka – Coriander – Coriandrum sativum – 1.35% – It has diuretic property.
Koshtam/kottam – Kushta – Saussurea lappa – 1.35 % – It increases sperm count.
Ela arisi – Ela – Cardamom – Elettaria cardamomum – 1.35 % – Being an excellent anti oxidant, it is used in treating blood pressure, asthma, indigestion, dysuria etc.
Jadhikkai – Jatiphala – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 1.35 % – It is an aphrodisiac, digestive tonic and useful in diabetes and urinary tract infection.
Jadhipaththiri – Jatipatra – Myristica fragrans – 1.35 %
Milagu – Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – 1.35 %
Masikkai – Mayaphala – Quercus infectoria oliver – 1.35 %
Adhimadhuram – Yastimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 1.35 % – Good aphrodisiac, increases the quantity and quality of semen.
Thaaleesapaththiri – Thalispatra – Abies spectabilis – 1.35 %
Thein – Madhu – Honey – Apis mellifera – 36.70 %

  • Kaamalai [jaundice]
  • Sobai [edema]
  • Vellai/piramiyam [leucorrhoea]
  • Neerchurukku [painful micturition]
  • Neertherai vekkadu [inflammations in the uro-genital tract]
  • Asthisuram & asthivettai.
  • Acts as an aphrodisiac.
  • Cooling in action.
  • Nourishes the body.

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Venpoosani Legiyam:
6 – 12 g with milk after food twice daily.
Or as directed by the physician.

Side effects, package

Side effects of Venpoosani Legiyam:

  • There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
  • Should be taken under medical supervision.
  • Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
