Serankottai – Purified Bhallataka – Semecarpus anacardium – 14.63 % – Useful in skin diseases, inflammation and induces quick wound healing. Purified neeradimuthu paruppu – Tuvaraka – Hydnocarpus kurzii – 13.66 % – It is mainly used in skin diseases.
Parangipattai – Madhusnuhi – Smilax china – 13.66 % – It is a plant mentioned for the treatment of cancer, syphilis, skin diseases etc.

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Neeradimuthu Vallathy Legiyam:

• 2 – 4 g with milk or ghee or castor oil after food twice daily.
• Care should be taken to ensure the body constitution before administering the dosage or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Diet

Pathya:–
Pasipairu [green gram], thuvaram paruppu [pigeon pea], milagu (Pepper), kathiripinju [tender immature brinjal], murungai pinju [tender immature drumstick], araikeerai, mulaikeerai [green leafy vegetables], pasumpaal [milk], pasu nei [ghee], pasu mor [buttermilk], vellattu nei [goat ghee], varal karuvadu [dry fish] shall be taken.
Avoid chicken & foods inducing vatha till one month after completion of the course.
Take 15-30 ml of castor oil once in 4 days & also a cup of cow’s milk twice a day regularly during the intake of the medicine.

• There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
• It should be taken under strict medical supervision. Take this medicine only if your Ayurveda doctor has prescribed it to you.
