Parangipattai Kudineer Chooranam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form used for making respective Kashaya, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in the treatment of various skin diseases.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Parangipattai Kudineer Chooranam:
Parangipattai – Madhu snuhi – Smilax china – 10 % – It has anti-oxidant, anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory activities.
Kadugurohini – Katuki – Picrorrhiza kurroa – 10 % – It is a powerful Ayurvedic herb used in treating mainly chronic fever, skin disorders and diabetes.
Manjitti – Manjishta – Indian Madder – Rubia tinctorum – 10 % – It is a famous herb for blood detoxification. Its root is extensively used in many skin disease medicines of Ayurveda. 
Mara manjal – Daruharidra – Berberis aristata – 10 % – It has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory activities.
Kadukkai – Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – 10 %
Thandrikkai – Vibhitaki – Belleric myrobalan – Terminalia bellerica – 10 %
Vasambu – Vacha – Sweet flag – Acorus calamus – 10 % – It has anti-microbial activity.
Sombu – Mishreya – Fennel seed – Foeniculum vulgare – 10 %
Veppampattai – Nimba – Neem – Azadirachta indica – 10 % – It is very useful in skin diseases and heals the wound.
Seenthil – Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – 10 % – It is a well known immuno-modulator herb used in the correction of auto-immunity.

Uses

Indications of Parangipattai kudineer Chooranam:

  • All types of thol noikal [skin diseases]
  • Poochikadi [insect bites]
  • Veekkam [swelling]
  • Moottu vali [knee pain].

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Parangipattai Kudineer Chooranam:

  • Take 5 g of the powder mix it with 300 ml of water, boil & reduce to 30 ml and give it by addition with honey twice a day, or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
