Neermulli Kudineer Chooranam Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Neermulli kudineer Chooranam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form used for making respective Kashaya, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in treating water retention in the body.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Neermulli Kudineer Chooranam:
Nerunjil samoolam – Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris – 9.09 % – It has lithotryptic and diuretic activities.
Nellivattral – Amalaki – Gooseberry – Emblica officinalis – 9.09 % – It is beneficial in patients with urinary ailments like dysuria.
Kadukkaithol – Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – 9.09 %
Thandrikkaithol – Vibhitaki – Belleric myrobalan – Terminalia bellerica – 9.09 %
Neermulli samoolam – Kokilaksha – Asteracantha longifolia – 9.09 % – It is a plant mentioned in Ayurveda for the treatment of general debility, jaundice, distention of abdomen, swelling, difficulty in urination and impotency.  Parangichakkai – Madhusnuhi – Smilax china – 9.09 % – It has anti-inflammatory activity.
Manathakkali vattral – Kakamachi – Solanum nigrum – 9.09 %
Sarakondrai puli – Aragwadha – Cassia fistula – 9.09 % – It has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activities.
Sombu – Mishreya – Fennel seed – Foeniculum vulgare – 9.09 %
Vellari vidhai – Trapusha – Cucumis sativus – 9.09 % – It cleanses urinary bladder. It is widely used in Ayurvedic treatment for difficulty in urination, excessive thirst, headache, insomnia etc. 
Suraikodi – Alabuka – Bottle gourd – Lagenaria vulgaris – 9.09 % – It is used for the treatment of jaundice, diabetes, localized swelling and skin diseases. 

Indications

Indications of Neermulli Kudineer Chooranam:

  • Oodhal [oedema]
  • Veekkam [swellings]
  • Peruvayiru [ascites]
  • Neerkattu [retention of urine]
  • It is a very good neer perukki [diuretic].

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Neermulli Kudineer Chooranam:

  • Take 5 – 10 g of the powder add 300 ml of water, boil & reduce to 50 ml. Give it twice daily before food.
    Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
