Pancha Deepakkini Chooranam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is best for vata & pitta disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Pancha Deepakkini Chooranam:
Chukku – Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – 20 % – It improves digestion strength and taste.
Milagu – Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – 20 % – Useful in anorexia, bloating, worm infestation etc.
Thippili – Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum – 20 % – It improves digestion strength, causes purgation and useful in Vata imbalance disorders.
Elam – Ela – Cardamom – Elettaria cardamomum – 20 % – Useful in bloating, constipation, indigestion, anorexia etc.
Seeragam – Jeeraka – Cumin – Cuminum cyminum – 20 % – It is very good in treating digestive track disorders. 
Sarkkarai – Sita – Saccharum officinarum – q.s.

Indication

Indication of Pancha Deepakkini Chooranam:

  • Athipiththam [excessive biliousness]
  • Soolai [colic]
  • Seriyamai [indigestion]
  • Vayittru porumal [gaseous indigestion of stomach]
  • Pasiyinmai [loss of appetite]
  • Vaanthi [vomitting]
  • Kirukiruppu [giddiness]
  • Ushnam [hyperpyrexia] etc.

  • Moolavayu
  • Kabanoi
  • Vayu
  • Piththa vayu
  • Enbu suram [asthi suram]
  • Enbu vettai [asthi vettai] etc.

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Pancha Deepakkini Chooranam:

1 – 2 g 2 – 3 times a day with ghee or honey after food. Can be used as an adjuvant for Kaantha chendooram.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
