Neerazhivu Chooranam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is best used in diabetes.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Neerazhivu Chooranam:
Kadukkaithol – Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – 20 %
Navalkottai – Jambu – Jamun – Syzygium cumini – 10 % – It is beneficial in controlling blood sugar levels in diabetics. 
Dry seenthil – Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – 10 % – It is a famous Ayurvedic herb, used extensively in treatment for fever, diabetes, urinary tract disorders, anemia, jaundice, asthma, cardiac disorders etc. 
Dry keezhnelli – Bhumyamalaki – Phyllanthus niruri – 10 % – It has anti-hepato toxic, hypoglycemic, anti-spasmodic and laxative activities.
Korai kizhangu – Musta – Cyperus rotundus – 10 %
Dry karuveppilai – Kaidarya – Murraya koenigii – 20 % – It has anti-diabetic activity.
Nellivattral – Amalaki – Gooseberry – Emblica officinalis – 20 % – Amla was studied to demonstrate hypoglycemic activity in an animal experimental research study.

Uses

Indications of Neerazhivu Chooranam:

• Madhumegam [diabetes mallitus]
• Athithagam [polydypsia]
• Athimoothiram [polyuria].

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Neerazhivu Chooranam:

2 – 5 g with hot water before food twice daily.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
