Ingredients of Naththai Choori Chooranam:
Nathaichoori vithai – Latakasturi – Borreria hispida – 50 %
Chukku – Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – 12.50 % – It balances Kapha dosha.
Avarampoo – Avartaki – Cassia auriculata – 12.50 % – Studies showed anti obesity activity of leaves extracts.
Koththumalli – Dhanyaka – Coriander – Coriandrum sativum – 12.50 % – Many animal studies have shown coriander seed’s benefits in controlling blood sugar and cholesterol levels. It is also a very good anti oxidant and resists build up of free radicals in the body.
Kezhvaragu – Nandimukhi – Eleusine corocona – 12.50 %
Indication
Indications of Naththai Choori Chooranam:
- Adhiga udalparuman/ adhi sthoolam/ adhisthoulyam [indicated against obesity]
- Supposed to lower cholesterol level in blood and to get rid off excessive adipose tissue as well.
Dose
Dosage & Adjuvants of Naththai Choori Chooranam:
1 – 2 g with sugar after food 2 – 3 times a day.
Or prepare decoction of the medicine and take with sugar.
Or as directed by the physician.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
