Nannari Chooranam Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Nannari Chooranam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in pitta disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Nannari Chooranam:
Nannari ver – Sariva – Hemidesmus indicus – 100 % – Useful in diabetes, urinary tract disorders etc. It balances all the three Doshas.

Indication

Indications of Nannari Chooranam:

  • Azhal noi [pitta disorders]
  • Neervetkkai [excessive thirst]
  • Madhumegam [diabetes]
  • Punarchi choodu [disorders of uro-genital tract of both male & female]
  • Pitha megam [a type of STD]
  • Vellai [leucorrhoea]
  • Neer erichal [burning micturition]
  • Neer surukku [retention of urine].

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Nannari Chooranam:
1 – 2 g with milk or water after food twice daily. It can also be taken as decoction with honey or palm jaggery.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
