Megarajanga Chooranam Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Megarajanga Chooranam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is best used in urinary tract disorders.

Ingredients of Megarajanga Chooranam:
Vetiver – Ushira – Vetiveria zizanioides – 2.08 % – It is widely used in treating fever, dysuria, burning sensation, fatigue syndrome, skin disorders etc.
Seeragam – Jeeraka – Cumin – Cuminum cyminum – 2.08 %
Elavangapattai – Twak – Cinnamon – Cinnamomum zeylanicum – 2.08 %
Sathikkai – Jatiphala – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 2.08 %
Sathipaththiri – Jatipatra – Myristica fragrans – 2.08 %
Kirambu – Lavanga – Clove – Syzygium aromaticum – 2.08 %
Kostam – Kushta – Saussurea lappa – 2.08 %
Nellivattral – Amalaki – Gooseberry – Emblica officinalis – 2.08 %
Nilapanankizhangu – Musali – Curculigo orchioides – 2.08 %
Kattu milagu – Chavikam – Piper attenuatum – 2.08 %

Indication

Indications of Megarajanga Chooranam:

  • Kai kal erichal [burning sensation of the palms and soles]
  • Elumpurukki [tuberculosis]
  • Neertharai vali [urinary tract inflammation]
  • Neer siruppu [retention of urine]
  • Kalladaippu [renal stones]
  • Neertharai erivu [burning micturition]
  • Thega varatchi [dry skin]
  • Usturam [chronic fever]
  • Elaippu noi
  • Moothirakricharam.

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Megarajanga Chooranam:

1 – 2 g with milk or honey after food.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
