Kirambu Chooranam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in neuralgia and musculo-skeletal pains.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Kirambu Chooranam:
Kiraambu – Lavanga – Clove – Syzygium aromaticum – 7.15 %
Lavangapattai – Twak – Cinnamon – Cinnamomum zeylanicum – 7.15 %
Chukku – Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – 7.15 % – It has analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities.
Thippili – Pippali – Long pepper – Piper longum – 7.15 %
Siru thekku – Bharangi – Clerodendrum serratum – 7.15 % – It is a powerful Ayurvedic herb used in treating allergic rhinitis, asthma, fever and other inflammatory conditions.
Chevviyam – Chavya – Piper cubeba – 7.15 %
Thaaleesa paththiri – Talispatra – Taxus buccata – 7.15 %
Lavangapaththiri – Twak patra – Cinnamomum tamala – 7.15 % Jadhipaththiri – Jatipatra – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 7.15 %
Adhividayam – Athivisha – Aconitum heterophyllum – 7.15 %
Seeragam – Jeeraka – Cumin – Cuminum cyminum – 7.15 %

Indication

Indication of Kirambu Chooranam:

Painful conditions like-

  • Narambu vali [neuralgia]
  • Thasai vali [muscular pain]
  • Udal vali [body pain/somatalgia]
  • Moottuvali/keelvadham [arthritis]
  • Amavadham [rheumatism]
  • Kaikaal madha madhappu/maraththu podhal [numbness of hand & feet].
  • Post viral fever, when the patient complains of body, muscle and joint pains
    Bursitis,  
  • Bursitis trochanterica,
  • Shoulder dislocation pain

Dose

Dosage & adjuvants of Kirambu Chooranam:
1 – 2 g with honey after food 2 – 3 times a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
