Gunma Uppu Chooranam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in treating gynecological disorders along with tumors etc.

Sottru uppu – Vida lavana – Sodium chloride – 16.67 %
Savattu uppu – Pamsuja lavana – Alkaline earth salt – 16.67 %
Valaiyal uppu – Samudra lavana – Sandevere glass salt – 16.67 %
Kalluppu – Artificial salt – 16.67 %
Vediyuppu – Sauvarchala lavana – Potassium nitrate – 16.67 %
Indhuppu – Saindhava lavana – Rock salt – 16.67 % – Improves taste and digestion strength. Useful in gastritis, bloating and constipation.
Processed in –
Varikumatti pazha saaru – Indravaruni – Citrullus colocynthis – q.s. – Balances Kapha and Pitta.

Indication

Indication of Gunma Uppu Chooranam:

• Menstrual disorders such as soothaga kattu [amenorrhoea]
• Soothagavali [dysmenorrhoea]
• Aruvagai gunman [indicated in 6 types of gastritis]
• Gunmakatti [phantom tumour]
• Porumal [flatulence]
• Sobai [anemia]
• Agattu vayu [gastralgia]
• Mooththira krichcharam [painful micturition] etc.

Dose

Dosage & adjuvants of Gunma Uppu Chooranam:

1 – 2 g with rice water [1 day old] 2 – 3 times a day before food as per the body constitution.
Give the medicine on the 3rd – 5th days of menstruation for soothagavali.
For other daily once for 48 days.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
