Chundai Vattral Chooranam Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Chundai Vattral Chooranam is a classical Siddha medicine in powder form manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in treating gastro-intestinal disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Chundai Vattral Chooranam:
Chundaivattral – Brihati – Solanum torvum – 14.28 % – It has absorbent property. Useful in diarrhea, IBS and malabsorption syndrome.
Karuveppilai – Kaidarya – Murraya koenigii – 14.28 %
Maamparuppu – Amra – Mango – Mangifera indica – 14.28 %
Omam – Ajamoda – Celery – Trachyspermum ammi – 14.28 % – Useful in the treatment of indigestion, anorexia, bloating, gaseous distension of abdomen.
Nellivattral – Amalaki – Gooseberry – Emblica officinalis – 14.28 %
Madhulai odu – Dadima – Pomegranate – Punica granatum – 14.28 % – It has astringent taste, helps to relieve diarrhoea, useful in IBS, ulcerative colitis.
Venthayam – Methika – Fenugreek – Trigonella foenum graecum – 14.28 % – Methi seeds improve digestion, useful in anorexia and diabetes. 

Indication

Indications of Chundai Vattral Chooranam:

  • Agnimaandham [indigestion]
  • Kazhichchal/bedhi [diarrhoea]
  • Moolam [piles]
  • Porumal [flatulence]
  • Various types of diarrhea and sprue syndrome such as Perungkazhichchal and Ninakazhichchal etc.
  • Easily digests the oil foods.

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Chundai Vattral Chooranam:
1 – 2 g twice a day with buffalo milk or curd after food.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
