Urukku Chendooram Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Urukku Chendooram is a classical Siddha medicine in bhasma form, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in the treatment of liver & spleen disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Urukku Chendooram:
Urukku podi – Loha – Elemental iron – 100 % – It improves strength, immunity, skin texture, complexion, memory, intelligence, digestive power and acts as natural aphrodisiac.
Processed in –
Elumichcham pasha saaru – Lemon juice – Nimbooka swarasa – Citrus aurantifolia – q.s. – It improves digestion power.
Manjal karisaalai saaru – Peeta bringa swarasa – Wedelia calendulacea – q.s. – It is widely used in hair fall treatment, liver disorders, skin diseases etc. 
Kattraazhai/kumari saaru – Kumari swarasa – Aloe barbadensis – q.s.
Akaasa thaamarai saaru –  Jalakumbhi swarasa – Pistia stratiotes – q.s. – It is used therapeutically to treat blood diseases, bleeding disorders, thyroid, piles, difficulty in urination, skin diseases etc.
Karunthulasi saaru – Thulasi swarasa – Ocimum sanctum – q.s.

Indication

Indication of Urukku Chendooram:

  • Paandu/veluppu noi [anaemia]
  • Oodhal/sobai [oedema/dropsy]
  • Kaamaalai [jaundice]
  • Peruvayru [ascites]
  • Siruneeraga kargal [urolithiasis/renal & vesicular calculus/urinary calculi]
  • It is a karudhi thooimaiyakki [blood purifier]
  • Kurudhiyundakki [haematinic]
  • Narambu uramaki [nervine tonic]
  • In urinary calculi, it is to be administered along with Thriphala karpam.

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Urukku Chendooram:

100 – 200 mg with honey twice a day after food.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Diet

Pathya:-
Avoid salt, tamarind, sour diet, alcohol, pagal [bitter gourd], agathi [sasban], non-veg foods & tobacco.
