Aya Chendooram Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Aya Chendooram is a classical Siddha medicine in bhasma form, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used in the treatment of liver, pancreas & splenic disorders.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Aya Chendooram:
Ayapodi – Loha – Elemental iron – 100 % – It is useful in gastric complaints, skin diseases, eye disorders, bloating, splenomegaly, helminthiasis, obesity, diabetes.
Kadukkai – Haritaki – Terminalia chebula – q.s.
Thandrikkai – Vibhitaki – Terminalia bellerica – q.s.
Seendhil kodi – Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – q.s. – It is used extensively in treatment for fever, diabetes, urinary tract disorders, anemia, jaundice, asthma, cardiac disorders etc.
Naavalpattai – Jambu – Syzygium cumini – q.s. – It is beneficial in controlling blood sugar levels in diabetics.
Nellivattral – Amalaki – Embelica officinalis – q.s.

Pala charu – Nimbooka swarasa – Lemon juice – Citrus aurantifolia – q.s.
Kattralai saaru – Kumari swarasa – Aloe vera juice – Aloe barbadensis – q.s. – Useful in hepatitis, hepatomegaly, splenomegaly and spleen disorders.
Manjal karisalai saaru – Peetabringa swarasa – Wedelia calendulaceae – q.s.

Uses

Indication of Aya Chendooram:

  • Paansu/veluppu noi [anaemia]
  • Sobai/oodhal noi [oedema/dropsy]
  • Kamaalai [jaundice]
  • Peruvayiru [ascites]
  • Perummpaadu [metrorrhagia]
  • It can be used in even madhumegam [diabetes mellitus] also.

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Aya Chendooram:
100 mg with ghee or honey twice a day for 48 days.
Or as directed by the physician.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Diet

Pathya:- Avoid salt, tamarind, sour diet, alcohol, pagal [bitter gourd], agathi [sasban], non-veg foods & tobacco.
