Arumuga Chendooram Uses, Dose, Ingredients, Side effects

Arumuga Chendooram is a classical Siddha medicine in bhasma form, manufactured by SKM Siddha & Ayurveda Company India Ltd., Erode- Tamil Nadu. It is used for treating multiple diseases conditions of vatha, pitta & kapha origin.

Ingredients

Ingredients of Arumuga Chendooram:
Rasam – Shuddha parada – Elemental mercury – 12 %
Gandhakam – Shuddha gandhaka – Elemental Sulphur – 21 %
Kaantham – Chumbaka loha – Magnetite ore of iron – 15 % – It is a traditional Ayurvedic medicine used for the treatment of anemia, tuberculosis, muscle waisting, and jaundice etc.
Ayapodi – Loha – Elemental iron – 26 % – It improves strength, immunity, skin texture, complexion, memory, intelligence, digestive power and acts as natural aphrodisiac.
Indhuppu – Saindhava lavana – Rock salt – 8 % – It improves digestion strength, taste and relieves bloating and constipation.
Venkaram – Tankana – Sodium tetraborate – 18 % – It is used in the treatment of productive cough, bronchitis, wheezing, asthma, chest congestion, food poisoning, abdominal colic pain etc.

  • Aruvagai eruvaao mulai noi [6 types of piles/haemorrhoids]
  • Aamavadham [rheumatic diseases]
  • Mandai idi/thalavali [headache]
  • Thasai kalaippu [myalgia]
  • Garba rogam [uterine disorders]
  • Vidhai vaadham/vidhai veekkam [orchitis]
  • Aria vaadham [hip pain/coxalgia]
  • Gandhamaalai [scrofula]
  • Granthi/parangi pun [syphilis]
  • Araiyappu [bubo]
  • Kaal vedippugal [fissured soles]
  • Grahani/perung kazhichchal [sprue]
  • Kshayam [emaciation/TB]

Dose

Dosage & Adjuvants of Arumuga Chendooram:

  • 100 mg twice daily with honey or Trikatu chooranam.
  • It is to be dispersed either for shorter duration or for longer duration depending upon the ailment.

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine or as directed by the physician.

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Diet

Pathya:- Avoid salt, tamarind, sour diet, alcohol, pagal [bittergourd], agathi [sasban], non-veg foods & tobacco.
