Zpter Tablet is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Solumiks Herbaceuticals Limited. It is used in the treatment of newly diagnosed Non Insulin Diabetes Mellitus (NIDDM).
Zpter Tablet Ingredients
Vijayasara – Pterocarpus marsupium – 500 mg – It has anti-diabetic activity.
Dalchini – Cinnamon – Cinnamomum verum – 500 mg – It improves digestion strength, is useful in diabetes, high cholesterol.
Haridra – Turmeric – Curcuma longa – 500 mg – Of all the herbs useful in diabetes, turmeric is the most beneficial.
Haritaki – Chebulic myrobalan – Terminalia chebula – 300 mg – Useful in diabetes and urinary tract disorders.
Bibhitaki – Belliric myrobalan – Terminalia bellirica – 300 mg
Amalaki – Gooseberry – Phyllanthus emblica – 300 mg – Amla was studied to demonstrate hypoglycemic activity in an animal experimental research study.
Chitrak – Plumbago zeylanica – 50 mg
Jasad bhasma – Zinc Calx – 15 mg – It is used in the treatment of eye disorders, anemia, diabetes, cough, cold, bronchitis, asthma, night sweating, non healing wounds, menorrhagia, tremors.

Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – Useful in treatment of diabetes, urinary tract disorders.
Madhunashini – Gymnema sylverstre – It is used totally all over India for controlling blood sugar. Several bio-active compounds have been isolated from the herb for diabetes care.
Zpter Tablet Indications
Newly diagnosed Non Insulin dependent Diabetes Mellitus (NIDDM).
As an adjuvant therapy in NIDDM, along with oral hypoglycaemic agents (OHA).
Dosage
Two tablets twice daily before meals as a mono therapy in NIDDM.
One tablet twice daily before meals as co therapy with other anti- diabetic agents in NIDDM.
Or as directed by the physician.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine.
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
