Sheetali kwatha is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Pentacare Ayurpharma. It is used in the treatment of disorders due to morbid Pitta.
Sheetali Kwatha Ingredients
Each 200 ml contains the extract of
Usheera – Vetiveria zizanioides – 20 g – Digestive, relieves burning sensation and useful in skin diseases.
Sariva – Sarsaparilla – Hemidesmus indicus – 20 g – Useful in skin diseases.
Yastimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – 20 g – Purifies blood, heals ulcers, wounds and swelling.
Padmaka – Prunus cerasoides – 5 g – Useful in blood disorders, skin disorders and has wound healing property.
Aragvada – Cassia fistula – 10 g – It has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activities.
Shatavari – Asparagus racemosus – 30 g – Because of its bitter principles and coolant properties, it is useful in treating gastritis.
Draksha – Raisins – Vitis vinifera Linn – 15 g – It relieves burning sensation, balances Vata and Pitta doshas.
Kharjura – Date palm – Phoenix dactylifera – 10 g
Lodhra – Symplocos racemosa Roxb – 15 g – It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
Indications
Disorders due to morbid Pitta,
Gout,
Diabetic Carbuncles, Allergic Skin Disorders,
Burning Sensation, Herpes, Boils,
Acid peptic disorders,
burning micturition
& Peptic Ulcers.
It decreases body heat and relieves burning sensation.
Dosage
5 – 15 ml twice or thrice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.

This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
