Sahajasan Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Simandhar Herbal Pvt Ltd. It is used in the treatment of Allergic Cough.
Sahajasan liquid Ingredients
Yastimadhu – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra – Good expectorant, expels phlegm from lungs, heals respiratory diseases.
Adulsa – Vasa – Malabarnut – Justicia adhatoda – It has broncho-dilatory, anti-inflammatory, anti-tussive properties.
Tulsi – Holy basil – Ocimum tenuiflorum – Balances Kapha doshas, useful to relieve sputum production.
Kantkari – Solanum surattense
Maricha – Black pepper – Piper nigrum – Decreases sputum production and useful in asthma, chronic respiratory diseases.
Shunti – Ginger – Zingiber officinale – Balances Kapha dosha, useful in productive cough, asthma.
Haridra – Turmeric – Curcuma longa – It has anti-inflammatory, anti-septic and immuno-modulatory activities.
Dashamoola – group of ten herbs –
Bilva – Aegle marmelos
Agnimantha – Premna mucronata
Shyonaka – Oroxylum indicum – It has anti-microbial and immuno-modulatory properties.
Patala – Stereospermum suaveolens
Gambhari – Gmelina arborea – It has anti-inflammatory and immuno-modulating effects.
Brihati – Solanum indicum – It has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Kantakari – Solanum xanthocarpum – Useful in asthma, chronic respiratory diseases.
Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris
Shalaparni – Desmodium gangeticum
Prishnaparni – Uraria picta – Useful in bronchitis, asthma and chronic respiratory diseases.

15 ml twice or thrice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.

This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
