Radona Syrup: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Radona Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Solumiks Herbaceuticals Ltd. It ensures complete dermal care. It is an effective formulation for allergic and inflammatory skin diseases.

Dosage

Adults – 10 ml thrice a day.
Children – 5 ml thrice a day.
Or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice. 

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Each 5 ml contains extracts of –
Khadira – Acacia catechu – 200 mg – Relieves itching, inflammation, and skin diseases.
Manjista – Indian madder – Rubia cordifolia – 200 mg – It is a famous herb for blood detoxification.
Musta – Nut grass – Cyperus rotundus – 150 mg
Gokshura – Tribulus – Tribulus terrestris – 100 mg
Daruharidra – Berberis aristata – 100 mg – It has anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties.
Vidanga – False black pepper – Embelia ribes – 100 mg – It has wound healing property.
Nimba – Neem – Azadirachta indica – 100 mg – It has immuno-modulatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties.
Sariva – Sarsaparilla – Hemidesmus indicus – 100 mg
Trivrit – Operculina turpethum – 50 mg – It has analgesic activity.
Rakta chandana – Red Sandalwood – Pterocarpus santalinus – 50 mg
Katuki – Picrorhiza kurroa – 20 mg
Chandana – Sandal wood – Santalum album – 10 mg – Detoxifies the blood and useful in skin diseases.
Loha bhasma – Iron Calx – 5 mg

Side effects of Radona Syrup

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.                                                      
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
