Prosticon Capsule is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Anjani Pharmaceuticals. It is used in the treatment of genito-urinary tract disorders.
Indication of Prosticon Capsule
Dysuria
Burning micturition
Polyuria
Scanty urination
Dosage
1 capsule twice a day with water or milk,
or as directed by the physician.
How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice.
With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine
Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.
With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.
Ingredients
Each 425 mg capsule contains extracts of –
Kupilu – Strychnos nuxvomica – 5 mg – Useful in urinary disorders, diabetes.
Jatiphala – Nutmeg – Myristica fragrans – 5 mg – It has anti-bacterial activity.
Vidari beeja – Pueraria tuberosa – 15 mg – It has diuretic, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial actions.
Haridra – Turmeric – Curcuma longa – 25 mg – Of all the herbs useful in diabetes, turmeric is the most beneficial. It is very beneficial in all urinary tract infections.
Kachura – Curcuma zedoaria – 25 mg – It has anti-biotic and anti-inflammatory activities.
Kapikacchu beeja – Mucuna puriens – 25 mg
Ashwagandha – Indian ginseng – Withania somnifera – 25 mg
Chitraka – Leadwort – Plumbago zeylanica – 25 mg – It has anti-microbial activity.
Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – 25 mg
Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris – 50 mg – It has diuretic and lithotryptic activities.
Trikatu – Zingiber officinale, Piper longum, Piper nigrum – 50 mg
Mandura bhasma – Prepared from Iron oxide – 50 mg
Vanga bhasma – Tin Calx – 100 mg – Excellent in all urinary disorders and is good in gonorrhoea, strained micturition and diabetes, and develops virility and strength.
Side effects of Prosticon Capsule
There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy, lactation period and in children.
