Nuthravwin Syrup: Uses, Ingredients, Dose, Side Effects

Nuthravwin Syrup is a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine manufactured by Padmavathi Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It is a nutritional supplement and a general tonic.

Indications of Nuthravwin Syrup

Immuno-compromised state

Dosage

Adults – 2 tsp thrice a day after meals.
Children above 2 years – 1 tsp twice a day after meals.
Children of 1 – 2 years – ½ tsp twice a day after meals.
Or as directed by the physician.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice. 

With western medicines
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are taking this product along with other western (allopathic/modern) medicines. Some Ayurvedic herbs can interact with modern medicine.
If both Ayurvedic and allopathic medicines are advised together, then it is best to take allopathic medicine first, wait for 30 minutes and then, after a gap of 15 – 30 minutes, take Ayurvedic medicine

Can this be used while taking Homeopathic medicine?
Yes. This product does not react with homeopathic medicine.

With supplements like multivitamin tablets, Omega 3 fatty acids etc?
Yes. Generally, this product goes well with most of the dietary supplements. However, if you are taking more than one product per day, please consult your doctor for an opinion.

Ingredients

Each 10 ml of syrup contains extracts of –
Ashwagandha – Indian ginseng – Withania somnifera – 40 mg – It improves strength and immunity.
Shatavari – Asparagus racemosus – 30 mg – It improves nourishment.
Triphala – Emblica officinalis, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellerica – 80 mg
Manjishta – Indian madder – Rubia cordifolia – 30 mg – It is a famous herb for blood detoxification.
Punarnava – Spreadding hogweed – Boerhavia diffusa – 30 mg
Raktamachi – Lycopersicon esculentum – 4 mg
Carrot – Gajar – Daucus carota – 5 mg – It has anti-oxidant, nephro-protective and hepato-protective activities.
Spirulina – Arthrospira platensis – 5 mg – It is good source of protein, lipids, Vitamin C, A and E.
Guduchi – Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia – 50 mg – It is a well known immuno-modulator herb used in the correction of auto-immunity.
Dadima – Pomegranate – Punica granatum – 40 mg – It improves immunity and body strength.
Trikatu – Zingiber officinale, Piper longum, Piper nigrum – 18 mg
Yavani – Carom seed – Trachyspermum ammi – 20 mg – It improves digestion strength and taste.

Side effects of Nuthravwin Syrup

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
However, it is best to use this medicine under medical supervision.
Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.  
Seek your doctor’s advice for its usage during pregnancy.
This product can be safely used during lactation period and in children for a limited period of few weeks time.
Seek your doctor’s advice if you are diabetic. In diabetic patients, only if the blood sugar is under good control, then this medicine can be given.
