Direction for use

Liniment

Apply 5 – 10 drops of liniment on the affected area with gentle massage for a few minutes, 2 – 3 times a day.

This can be followed by hot fomentation for better results.

Gel

Apply sufficient quantity of gel on the affected area with gentle massage for a few minutes, 2 – 3 times a day.
Or as directed by the physician.
This can be followed by hot fomentation for better results.

How long to use?
This product can be used for a period of 2 – 3 months of time, based on your doctor’s advice. 

Ingredients

Quantity in 10 ml of liniment / Quantity in 10 g of gel:
Mahanarayana Taila – Medicated oil – 4.0 ml
Nirgundi taila – Vitex negundo – 4.0 ml – It is a very good muscle relaxant and pain relieving herb.
Gandhapura taila – Winter green oil – Gaultheria fragrantissima – 1.0 ml
Tailaparni Taila – Eucalyptus oil – Eucalyptus globulus – 0.5 ml
Devadaru taila – Cedrus deodara – 0.3 ml – It has analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities.
Sarala – Pinus longifolia – 0.2 g – It has analgesic action.

Side effects of Myostal Liniment & Gel

There are no recorded side effects with this medicine.
Do not apply on open wounds, mucous membranes and inflamed or tender skin.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Do not refrigerate.
Keep out of reach of children.
Replace the cap immediately after use.

During pregnancy, lactation

If you were using this oil before pregnancy without any allergic reaction, you can continue using this oil even during pregnancy.
If you have not used this product before and wish to use it during pregnancy, better to consult a doctor because it can cause skin allergy in some rare cases.
It is generally considered as safe to use during lactation, however consult your doctor for the right advice.

Can this product be applied after steam therapy?
No. Oil is best applied before steam therapy. This is as per basic Ayurvedic principles.
